周郭巧儀 (Frances Chow) 師母先後在加拿大墨爾基大學 (McGill University)和約克大學 (York University) 取得學士及碩士學位 。 為回應神的呼召,周師母到Gordon Conwell神學院攻讀宗教教育,獲得宗教教育碩士學位 (Master of Religious Education)。後在聖地牙哥州立大學 (San Diego State University) 修輔導學, 專攻校園心理學 (School Psychology) 的碩士課程 。周師母曾在加州、夏威夷州及紐約州的校區任駐校心理學師 。也曾在紐約州教育局和紐約市校區擔任行政和註校心理學家監督的職位。持有紐約州教育局發的三語 (英、粤、國語) 證照。在美國公校工作二十年後,周師母才退休。

在過往的四十多年周師母經常從旁協助夫婿周子良牧師在北美牧養華人教會。她的恩賜是在教導、培訓、輔導、寫作與關懷。曾在基督工人神學院教授基督教教育的學科和在使者雜誌、號角美西南版、神國資源為基督協會網站、基督豐榮團契網站與 Challenger發表文章。她也經常被各教會和社團邀請講論以下的專題: 基督化家庭、在雙文化環境中養育子女、北美教育制度、雙文化教育、特殊教育、主日學老師培訓、及個人見証等 。

周師母累積到的教養與教育孩子和青少年的經驗,不祗是從神學院和專業上孕育出來的。最重要是她有十年全職媽媽和四十多年為師母的親身體驗。她和周牧師育有二子一女和四個孫兒。

Mrs. Frances Chow earned a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a master’s degree from York University in Canada. In response to God’s calling, she attended Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and was awarded a Master of Religious Education degree. Later, she obtained a Master of Counseling degree specializing in School Psychology from San Diego State University.
Mrs. Chow has worked as a School Psychologist in California, Hawaii, and New York. She also has held administrative and supervisory positions in the New York State Education Department and the New York City Department of Education. She is certified by the New York State Education Department as a trilingual (English, Cantonese, and Mandarin) personnel. She retired after working for twenty years in the American Public school system.

Mrs. Chow has been assisting her husband, Rev. Leon Chow, serving in various Chinese churches in the United States for forty-some years. Her gifts include teaching, training, counseling, writing, and caring. She was an adjunct Christian Education Instructor at the Christian Witness Theological Seminary. In addition, she has published articles in the Ambassador for Christ magazine, the Herald Monthly newspaper (Southern California Edition), the Fullness in Christ Fellowship website, Kingdom Resources for Christ website, and CCM Challenger. Topics include Christian Marriage, Parenting American Born Chinese, Understanding the American School System, Bilingual and Bicultural Education, Special Education, Training Sunday School Teachers, and her testimonies. She speaks on these topics as well.

When serving Christian churches and Chinese communities, Mrs. Chow integrates her Christian Education training, and professional expertise obtained from working in the American public school system, with her ten years of experience as a full-time mother. Rev. and Mrs. Chow have three children and four grandchildren.
